Langtang Valley Trek

The welcoming Sherpas who live here call themselves Hyalmo after the name of their sacred valley, Helambu. Come with us to meet them.

Langtang trekking is a popular and classic trek of Nepal. Langtang trekking route goes through traditional ethnic villages and untouched forests on the way to the peaks of Langtang-Lirung. The highlights of Langtang treks include a visit to the Langtang valley, Kyangin Gompa, Langtang Gompa, plenty of yaks heard on alpine meadows and Langtang Lirung Glacier. In Langtang treks you can also climb to the Lang Sisa Peak and visit Lake Gosaikunda, which is nearby this trekking. In summer each year, the valley floor and alpine slopes of Langtang bloom profusely with primula, poppy and other alpine flowers that makes the trekking more exciting and memorable. Langtang trekking is the name given to the treks from the name of Langtang valley in central Nepal. Langtang is a narrow valley lying south of Tibetan border. The valley lies between main Himalaya range to the north and small snowy peaks to the south. For this trek we start by taking a bus to Syabrubeshi via Trishuli Bajaar and Dhunche. Syabrubeshi is the typical jumping off point for most treks in this region as it sites right on the border of the Langtang National Park.

Our local staff are paid a decent living wage, get provided with all the right gear and are always well looked after. We pride ourselves on this.

During the Langtang trek you'll see a plethora of wildlife along with some of the most remarkable mountains in the world. Among these mighty peaks are Langtang Lirung (7246m), Gang Chhenpo (6388m), Naya Kangri (5846m) and Dorje Lakpa (6966m). Other summits on the trail include Himchuli, Manaslu and Ganesh Himal as well as the Shishapangma mountaisn of Tibet, which are also visible from some parts of the Langtang trek.
