Welcome dinner & briefing
Before you start your trip your guide will go through all the details of your trek with you.
Get to know your guide over a welcome dinner in Kathmandu. -
Scenic drive to Syabrubeshi
Your guide will meet you at your hotel from where your journey will begin. A short taxi ride will bring you to a Jeep station where the long 7 hour journey to Syabrubesi begins.
Kick back and enjoy the drive through remote areas of Nepal, tumbling green hillsides and a variety of Flora & Fauna. -
Trek to Lama Hotel
With your valid permits and a good breakfast in your stomach you're ready for a beautiful scenic climb through Rhododendron forests and the crossing of the Kosi River.
The Bamboo will mark your way to Changtang, or better known as Lama Hotel.
Along the trial you can see severe damage left from the earthquake back in 2015. -
Visit Langtang village
The trail today will emerge you in nature by leading you past local flora & fauna, big forests of hemlocks, oaks, maples and rhododendron and small forest villages. From here you have beautiful views of Langtang Lirung.
As you make your way to the forest you'll pass a Nepal army post and national park checkpoint. As the trail ascends gradually the Valley will get wider, until you find your self in a U-shaped Glacier valley.
On your way to your accommodation for the night you'll pass many 'mani stones' and water-driven prayer wheels.
You also can see local organic buckwheat, potatoes, wheat, turnips and barley farms, which the locals farm for the villages the surrounding tea houses. -
Langtang village to Kyangjin Gompa
Today you will start your short climb to Kyanjin Gompa, the village is named after the local Buddhist monastery in the village. Made out of stone and wood from the nearby forest it represents the strong local bound to the land.
After a short climb of 2-3 hours you mad it to your destiny.
Enjoy your free time by exploring your surroundings. -
Day hike and return to Kyangjin Gompa
Today is seen as a rest day, due to your big incline in altitude over the last few days. So enjoy the scenery with a cup of coffee and let your thoughts get carried away.
Langtang valley is truly a magnificent place to spend some time. And if you don't feel tired you can go for local walks towards the high mountain peaks from the Tibetan side along the
Lirung valley.
Or you might feel like a summit hike to Kyanjin Ri (4600m) or Tsergo Ri (4984m) from which you have a spectacular view of the snow covered white giants and the whole Langtang Valley.
The opportunity's are endless. -
Kyangjin Gompa to Langtang village
Today we will start our hike back to Kyanjin Gompa. Where you will have the chance again to catch a glimpse of everything your eyes couldn't see before.
How does it feel to walk the same trek again with a new pair of eyes? -
Return to Lama Hotel
Return into the forest!
With a good breakfast in your stomach and a positive attitude you're best equipped to start your walk back through the thick forest. The animal life of the Langtang valley is vast and rare. You might get lucky and see the famous Himalayan red panda or Himalayan black bear, ghoral, grey langur monkey or a leopard.
Get your binoculars out and try your luck. -
Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi
Back to Syabrubesi where your Journey has started. Back through the villages which got heavily effected by the earthquakes. And back towards civilisation.
It is your last day in the Mountains, far away from the noises and busyness of the big city of Kathmandu. Take in the scenery one last time - you might like to do a short meditation where you can reflect your accomplishments of the last couple of days. -
Syabrubesi to Kathmandu
After 7 days of hiking, enjoy the benefits of 4 wheels underneath you and prepare yourself for a long Jeep drive.
As you leave the Mountains behind you you'll get closer to the dusty city of Kathmandu, you will pass beautiful remote scenery.
Arrived in Kathmandu, you will be invited to a last farewell dinner with your guide. To finish off your magical journey properly.
